20 Minute Bliss Balls

Updated: May 11, 2021

These bliss balls are extremely versatile, easy and clean. They are the perfect pick-me-up snack for a busy work day, or a little pre workout fuel.  Here’s what you’ll need: Ingredients:

  • ½ cup nut butter (natural almond, cashew, peanut butter)

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp raw honey

  • 1 cup almond flour (ground almond) you can also use oats if you don’t have AF

  • ¼ cup cacao powder

  • ¼ cup maca powder

  • ¼ cup ground flax seed

  • 1-2 tbsp hemp hearts

  • 1-2 tbsp chia seeds

Method:

  1. By hand, mix all of the ingredients together and start to shape them into tiny balls.

  2. Roll them in toppings like: cinnamon, hemp hearts, crushed almonds, chia seeds, goji berries, matcha powder, cacao powder, coconut flakes.

  3. Place them into a glass dish and put them in the freezer for 30 minutes before servings.

  4. You can keep these in the freezer for up to 30 days.

That’s it. If you’re missing a few ingredients, you can easily substitute it for anything with a similar texture (replace wet ingredients with wet or dry with dry). For example, replace maca powder with twice the serving of ground flax seed. The point of this is to make them as easy as possible so that you can make these the night before and enjoy them all week. Even though, these probably don’t fall under the “100 calorie” category, they work to nourish your body, and are made with real ingredients. Calories are one of the least important foundations in determining the nutrient content of your food. You know where its been made, what’s in it, and how it was made. These are the most important questions that we should always have answers to when buying snacks at the grocery store.
