Chaga- The Worlds Most Powerful Mushroom

Updated: May 11, 2021

Chaga is a medicinal mushroom grown on birch trees in parts of Canada, Scandinavia, Russia and Japan. Chaga is well known for its powerful antioxidant properties that help to build the immune system, bring the body to balance, kill abnormal cells, lower inflammation, reduce pain, keep the liver working efficiently, and purify the blood. These are only a few examples of why Chaga is the most nutritious mushroom on earth. Chaga is anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Filled with countless nutrients, Chaga contains: Vitamin D, B vitamins, hundreds of phytonutrients, thousands of antioxidants, enzymes, flavonoids, amino acids, and minerals like: Calcium, potassium, copper, manganese, zinc, iron and so much more! Due to its powerful properties, Chaga is well known for its guidance in shrinking cancer and disease. Chaga mushrooms grow on birch trees, which are naturally high in betulinic acid, which has been recognized for its ability to kill cancer. It is so powerful that Chaga is used for this reason as a prescription in Russia and is now being studied as a chemotherapeutic agent. In many studies, Chaga is seen as the best adaptogenic herb available. An adaptogen helps to bring the body back to balance whether it is from physical, physiological or emotional stress. So why are pharmescutical companies constantly revamping anti-depressant when you have something like Chaga that truly does what your body is asking for? Just like everything else, it is extremely important to buy this superfood organic, and in high quality. I purchase my Chaga from Giddy Yoyo, in the tincture form (10 drops a day) and tea form. I trust their Chaga because it is certified organic, fair trade, local from Quebec and chosen with love towards the ecosystem. I also love their Chaga Chocolate, which is made with cacao paste and tastes delicious. You might be thinking that “mushroom tea” is gross, but in all honesty, it is my favourite flavour of tea. It tastes very subtle and earthy. You can also add this tea to your coffee, as Chaga is naturally caffeine-free. I love Four Sigmatic’s Chaga and Lion’s Mane Coffee Mix. Coffee and Chaga together just makes sense. Whether you’re wanting to add to your tea collection, trying to get rid of a cold, feeling stressed out, or fighting disease, Chaga is the perfect superfood. Also keep in mind that mushrooms are very powerful, so a little goes a long way- you don't want to overdo it. Carefully read the instructions on the back of the label and follow as suggested. * Please be cautious that chaga is a natural blood thinner. Ensure to speak to your pharmacist before using this mushroom if you are on medication.
